Materials:

·         Hook: G6/4.00mm

·         Red Heart Soft

Gauge: first 6 rows of the band = 1”

Hints & Tips:

·         Use Red Heart Soft or Caron Simply Soft. Regular Red Heart (and most other worsted weight yarns are too thick!)

Toddler

Band:
CH 13

Row 1). Sc in the 2^nd chain from the hook, sc across, ch 1, turn. (12)Row 2). Sc in the BLO across (12)

Rows 3 – 90). Repeat Row 2

Sl st rows 1 & 90 together

Hat: Round 1). Ch 1, sc in every stitch around, sl st to join.  – 90

Round 2). Ch 3, dc in the same stitch, *Sk 2 st, Dc, ch1, dc in the next stitch*, Repeat * * around, sl st in 2^nd chain at the beginning.
Rounds 3 – 15). Repeat round 2.

Fasten off leaving a long enough tail to stitch the stop shut.

Child

Band:
CH 13

Row 1). Sc in the 2^nd chain from the hook, sc across, ch 1, turn. (12)Row 2). Sc in the BLO across (12)

Rows 3 – 100). Repeat Row 2

Sl st rows 1 & 100 together

Hat: Round 1). Ch 1, sc in every stitch around, sl st to join.  – 100

Round 2). Ch 3, dc in the same stitch, *Sk 2 st, Dc, ch1, dc in the next stitch*, Repeat * * around, sl st in 2^nd chain at the beginning.
Rounds 3 – 18). Repeat round 2.

Fasten off leaving a long enough tail to stitch the stop shut.

Round 2). Ch 3, dc in the same stitch, *Sk 2 st, Dc, ch1, dc in the next stitch*, Repeat * * around, sl st in 2^nd chain at the beginning.
Rounds 3 – 21). Repeat round 2.

Fasten off leaving a long enough tail to stitch the stop shut.
